The Story Of Barn Again Apiaries

It was a Saturday in May 2025. I was running the farm stand, and my mom was greeting customers. Two ladies approached her, and they started chatting. My mom called me over to tell me that one of the ladies had a beekeeping husband! She called her husband, Brian, to come talk to me. He drove over to the farm stand, and we started chatting. We exchanged numbers, and they all went their separate ways. Later that day, I got a call from Brian. He said, “Hey Matt, I’m bringing over a hive!” He arrived at the farm stand 20 minutes later with a hive. We brought it to the house, and that’s when we started Barn Again Apiaries! Over the next four months, we grew the Apiary to five hives and expect a big harvest. We’re also one of the few farms on Long Island that keeps the Native Kenyan Hive. This hive is rarely used in the North, but we’re determined to keep it alive! Want to learn more? Check out Brian’s YouTube and Instagram @captbriansbees.
